An Art Director and Studio Manager with over 15 years of experience in print, multimedia and website design. Theatre experience as Production Manager, Publicity Manager and Props Designer.

Lauren has run her own small business as a design consultant for over ten years. She has managed a range of projects from a corporate identity and international promotional materials for Emosyn, a high tech smart card company; to website design and production for The Palmer House Inn and Hilton; to environmental design for the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk.

She has been the Publicity Design Manager for Oxford University Press, in Oxford, UK, where she managed a studio producing over 20 catalogues and thousands of promotional materials annually. As the Art Director for OneMind, in Norwalk, CT, she was responsible for such projects as IDX's award winning user interface for their internet health management software and Cotton, Inc.'s 1998/99 Color Trends book.

Lauren has gained experience working for design firms across the United States from Alex Isley, Inc. and the Dakota Group in CT, to Gage Design in Seattle, WA, Bronson Communications in Bangor, ME, Design Associates in Washington, DC, and Wright Associates, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA.

Ms. O'Connell received a BFA in Design & Applied Art and an Associates Degree in Illustration form Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition, she has studied archaeological illustration at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
